The Problem
You Shouldn’t Have to Settle for an Outdoor Space That Embarrasses You
You invested in your home. But your outdoor space? It’s cracking, shifting, and slowly becoming the part of the property you avoid showing guests.
- Pavers that shift and sink — poor base prep is the #1 reason pavers fail within five years.
- Weeds pushing through every joint — wrong jointing material means they always come back.
- Water pooling where it shouldn’t — bad grading erodes your base and damages foundations.
- Contractors who disappear mid-job — missed deadlines, vague quotes, unanswered calls.
- Work that looks dated in two seasons — cheap materials and rushed installs age fast in Idaho’s freeze-thaw cycles.
Every one of these problems has a solution — and it starts with proper engineering.
No cost. No commitment. Just a conversation.

Paver & Hardscape FAQs
Straight answers to the questions Treasure Valley homeowners ask us most — before you ever pick up the phone.
How much does a paver patio or driveway cost in the Boise area?
Most paver projects in the Treasure Valley fall between roughly $20 and $45 per square foot installed. The range depends on the paver material (concrete, porcelain, or natural stone), how much excavation and base work the site needs, drainage requirements, and design complexity. Driveways and projects on sloped or poorly draining lots sit at the higher end. Because every site is different, we provide a detailed, itemized quote after an on-site assessment rather than a one-size-fits-all price. Request a free project quote →
Are pavers better than poured concrete or asphalt?
For Idaho’s climate, usually yes. Interlocking pavers flex with the ground instead of cracking, so they hold up to freeze-thaw far better than a poured slab. If a paver is ever stained or damaged, a single unit can be lifted and replaced — no patching or full tear-out. Pavers also offer far more colors, patterns, and design flexibility, and a properly built paver surface typically outlasts stamped concrete or asphalt. See what we build →
Will pavers crack or heave in Idaho’s freeze-thaw winters?
Not when they’re installed on a properly engineered base. Our installations use a compacted open-graded or dense-graded aggregate base with correct drainage and secure edge restraint, so meltwater drains away instead of freezing beneath the surface and lifting it. That engineered base is the single biggest reason a paver surface outlasts poured concrete in the Treasure Valley.
How long does a typical hardscape project take?
Most residential patios and walkways take a few days to about a week. Larger driveways, multi-level outdoor living spaces, and retaining-wall projects can run two weeks or more. You’ll get a clear schedule before we break ground, and we keep you updated as the work progresses.
How long do pavers last, and what maintenance do they need?
A well-installed paver surface can last 25 to 50+ years. Maintenance is minimal: occasional rinsing, refreshing the joint sand every few years, and optional sealing to deepen color and ease cleaning. Because the surface is modular, any future repair or utility access can be done without tearing out the entire installation. Explore our services →
